Gamerscore reduced but not reset

Hi, I started receiving achievements I had gotten over a year ago and thought that was strange, so I checked my Gamerscore and it had been reduces form 20000-21000 to 5580g. But I checked and all the games I played in the past and the achievements add over
10000g and thought that was strange.

Any help on restoring original score?

It's a known issue right now. Some have said earning a new achievement will fix it, but otherwise, you'd have to wait on it to be fixed. https://beta.support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

Normally a Gamerscore reduction happens through an enforcement action due to some sort of cheating to gain the Gamerscore.

Have you checked the enforecement teams website enforcement.xbox.com with the account that the Gamerscore is reduced on to see if they have any information?

This is not true, they don't decrease it, they reset it all the way back to 0.

Mine took about a week to fix itself when it happened to me.

There is no set time on how long it'll take.Just carry on playing games etc & don't worry.

Would you please tell me when this issue happened?

I ask because it is a "common" issue with some players, but it should go up again within 72 hours. If after 72 hours your gamertag does not increase again, please check the enforcement website to see if they did not decreased it because of tampering:

If it's been more than 72 hours and you did not had any enforcement action on your gamertag, you will need to contact Xbox official support to check this for you. But please wait 72 hours to see if it does not go back to normal again.
