Gamers who are over 50 or in their 40's

wow Lost, time is flying by.

 

I hit the big 60 this year...my mind is still young at heart, but sometimes my body reminds me of my actual age...LOL

 

i am 56 and play on xbox one,i got heaps of online games,please add me as friend,mature age

 

I'm past 60 and I just started using the Xbox 360, just this year. Old thread and Old Folks, guess it fits.

I don't play online at all. Can't handle all the crazy stuff the young-uns do online, plus I don't do any games that I have to use a lot of buttons at the same time. Can't do that any more, so I basically do racing games, (gas and steer, forget the brake)
and hunt/fish games, but it's nice to see there are other older gamers.

Been a PC gamer for years, but once I tried the Xbox, I believe console is better. All my racing games are smoother on the console, even though they look better on the PC, the controls are smoother on console.

sure,im almost 40. I only play racing games. I cant really get into any other type of game. I only play off line. Seems the older players don't like to play online for some reason or another. Just stepped up to the xbox one and its absolutely amazing the
things consoles can do these days. Seems the older generation of players enjoy games more than younger players because we remember how crappy games use to be.

 

wow, i had to really burrow to find others like y'all, yo old peeps, just turned 58 and enjoy shooters mostly, the older CODs, Halo, Star wars, have xbox 1 and 360 in eastern time zone

Been watching this thread since my first post a while back and turning 50 a little later in the year. Be good for us oldies to get a posse together on RDR, a nice slower paced game

43 here and wanting to play a back log of older Xbox 360 games online both in coop and mper.

 

40 - 50 they're classed as younguns in my world. 64 and counting I play everyday COD games mostly and only online in Free For All games. I have the mic out & all chat off on my Turtle Beach Stealth 500X head set because I can't stand the squeaky little prepubescent
squeals coming from children that frequent this mature rated game.

 

47 here. been a gamer since 1976. Have owned and still have : Atari 2600, Atari 400, NES, N64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, GBA, GBASP, Gamecube, Wii, Genesis, Saturn, Game Gear, Dreamcast, Playstation, Playstation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox One. Actively play each
day usually, and sometime online. I cannot remember a time I didn't game as I have always loved it. I enjoy videogame podcasts, Let's Play videos and get a few magazines. i still have hundreds of VG magazines as well a hundreds of videogames across 18 or so
platforms. I currently have pre-orders for Far Cry: Primal, The Division, Dark Souls 3 and Quantum Break. Currently enjoying The Witcher 3, Forza Horizon 2, Fallout 4, Rebel Galaxy and Darkest Dungeon. Just finished Rise Of The Tomb Raider and looking forward
to Doom and Unravel. I don't see myself quitting gaming anytime soon!

I feel your pain, I too am in my 40’s and still love gaming. I don’t however choose to compete against 12 year old reflexes or indeed interact with them generally, indeed if I chose to down the park it would be seen as odd, at best…! I don’t see my gaming
as being particularly different.

I muted all non-friends several years ago and have left my settings like that ever since, to the benefit of both sides of the microphone I suspect..!

Any old fogies that want to join up with me, fine. I do enjoy World of Tanks and will be playing The Division a fair bit, the beta had me hooked….

 

51 here, and a life-long gamer. First game on my own TV was Pong. Not a big multiplayer at all. Absolutely LOVE a good, story/character-driven game that I can lose myself in for a chunk of time. Shadow of Mordor was probably the most recent game that
I enjoyed immensely. I cannot stand the whiney, foul-mouthed, younger gamers that tend to populate the multiplayer system(s), so I stick to my own stuff. Very glad that at least SOME developers are still in the single-player campaign business. Game On!
