43 year gamer here from back in the 2600, intellivision, collecovision days....add me if ya on xbone..dont get on 360 much anymore.... gamertag is.....gave up on Destiny before the DLC came out but now ranking up two other Titans to 20 to farm coins
and chards (dont know why..lol....game is like crack now..not that ive done crack..lol..).I play just about any other co-op game too...much more fun chatting it up and downing a few tall ones while gaming coop...in a sim madden league if ya like to play legit
madden we can use a few more true sim players...not an achievement *** but love getting the most out of a game and can help on most games...i have most xbone games or have played most...

 

I'm 41 and I love love love the Battlefield & COD series. My issue is the same as most gamers my age. I cannot take the constant smack talk or use of the N word like every 30 seconds. There needs to be some place where us dinosaurs can play in piece with
the age group of people that actually show respect for other gamers the way we were taught to. We are the ones that paved the way and it's being ruined by a disrespectful new breed community.

I am forever having to mute people or just start playing in my own party. I just want to have fun it is supposed to be an escape not a place of aggravation. There needs to be a better way of separating age groups and or skill levels so all gamers can play
where they best fit in.

I'm over 50 and play COD:BO2 on a regular basis with a group of people who are all over 33 and up to 60 years old.

The kids on Xbox 360 think they're generally playing with a bunch of other kids or very young adults. They're pretty shocked when I tell them I'm a grandma with grandkids who also play COD (without a mic, so they cannot communicate with the degenerates).
We're housewives, attorneys, law enforcement officers, daycare providers, social workers, and more ...not students.

 

It makes sense to have an older gaming community, particularly those who live the "Golden" era of gaming. Seriously, As a child Video games was the best invention ever, basically i spent every living moment finding arcades or arcade games. My friends list
varies from 20 to 60+ on both XB and PS.

 

Well I hit the 40 mark on Feb 1st so I now make this list.

 

Great to see this thread show its' face again. It's interesting that a few years back (about the time this thread was created) the "average" age of a "gamer" was about 33. I'm willing to bet that number might just be a little higher today.

good to see us older gamers are still about, have taken to not using a mic and muting alot of younger people( whiney voices and talking crap)

I am 40ish, but L4D is a really old game at this point, I don't know if I could even find it hehe. Might be time to move up to Evolve.
