it's a damn color. It's like saying black is a bad word, or white. Negr0 is black in Spanish. Are you just being dense? If someone describes me as a white woman, should I be offended because I've been described by color? If you describe someone as being
black when they are, it's not a derogatory statement. It's stating a fact.

 

Bizarrostranger the "oh no someone said something rude!" voice message was from a heavy breathing grown man (Paraphrased)

Now I have heard of others saying they have been contacted after making complaints but I got NO response from xbox (and that includes complaints I've made after I've recieved text messages calling me
[Mod Removed] I use the tools available but that guy should've been suspended immediately so the tols did not work. If he is going to send messages like that to random women then I wouldn't have been the only one.. and I do not like the option
of putting sleezebags on block *after* having to hear those kinds of messages. I shouldn't be getting them in the first place (and no I had no in game conflicts with him for him to react to).

Yes it takes less effort to block people but if they have a set on someone using their other accounts may seem like alot of effort but they still do it. If I block someone I'd like it to be their whole console not just one of their profiles.

LotR is okay but it took way too long for me to get hooked. I'm trying the game again now.. they say "We must.." alot.

Morigan, unfortunately Xbox Live is just crammed packed full of...well...people. And some people feel pretty brave in the safety of their own home. Would they say those things to you if they were face to face with you? Probably not. Just brush it off
and forget about it or say something dirty back to them, like I would.

 

i wouldnt quit xbl over some no life and im sure some people would say stuff offline i have no faith left in people now these days just a disapointed look on my face but morigan im sure things will get dealt with due to its against law for 1 thing im ever
since that amanda todd was treated like garbage online u can look her up on youtube very sad made me cry cyber bullying is the worst but its slowly get deat with

 

and to be honest u may not receive a message if it was dealt with cause i no when i had to get something done about a person ive never received a message and i think u should receieve message anyways letting u no it was dealt with

 

I've heard of others receiving contact from xbox I felt it was serious enough to warrant contact so I can be assured that creeps like that are not tolerated. Here I am assured they are but the ones who abuse like that say things like "xbox won't do anything".
Brushing it off sounds all well and good but I don't want to have to brace myself every time I receive a message. It has quietened down now but only because I have basically stopped adding new friends *just in case they use aliases* which kind of makes having
xbox live pointless.

My xbox experience over the last year, although I made a couple of friends was pretty disgusting and that was due to extreme behaviors being tolerated. I can prove some of this, and that actual "clan" who actively harass/bully, use game exploits and sabotage
games however there is no email to write to.

 

u could try contacting your local police department i keep hearing there the ones who get that stuff done well atleast is what i get from the news there telling people to call if theres any issues like this or any type of abuse hope it helps

 

theres some decent people out there u just gota find them and keep them close =)

 

Jim, you should know MS changed how the system works with reported gamertags. If you ever do get reported and the enforcement team agrees with the report, you will be assigned a new gamertag at random - you won't be able to choose what your GT will be. To
do that, you'll still have to pay the requisite $10. This change was put into place to avoid having people abuse the system, which I have seen happen countless times.

Morigan, the reason I asked about you being a LotR fan is because I am sure the blade that Frodo gets stabbed with in the fellowship, is a Morigan blade. So it just had me curious.

Anyhow, I think it is safe to say that this matter has been addressed so I am going to go ahead and lock up the thread. The console tools grouped with the filters available to each user should be more than enough to combat future harassment. Please follow
