sorry your having it rough on xbox i no ive been there before people now theses days seem to be getting worse on online or offline i have had people sit there and tell me that there gona end my life or other things that i wont say due to it was pretty graphic/disturbing
i even sometime think of quiting gaming its getting to be bs anymore but u can add me if u like im great listener and do my best to help defend my friends cause im a nice guy like that and hope things get better for u =)

This is the issue with online gaming now, gaming used to be for fun, people got on but now there are people that are vile and vicious online and that is bringing the fun down, bring back online public lobbies where we can have it open to the public or private
and kick when needed. I have been gaming for a very long time and the decline started later on the 360, right when matchmaking and modern warfare was released, it brought in the crowds of extreme players that hate everybody, don't get me wrong modern warfare
was a good game it just opened the door to players that don't care about anything but the win.

 

TruthReveal3D, being severely bullied myself I know the score on it. I think a lot of it narrows down to a persons tolerance. I could insult someone strong minded and make them laugh where as I could throw the same insult at someone with low self esteem
and effectively ruin their day and put them on a downer. I agree that bullying is thrown around but in the same concept its very important not to block it out or put it to one side either. Bullies are among the lowest of the low in my opinion.

Morigan, sorry that you feel that way and I am even more sorry to hear that it has put you off coming back for renewal of your membership. That is saddening to see. I cant speak for the PET as they are a totally different department (and official of course)
but from what I do know, they do a good job. There is always the option of filtering who can and cant contact you if that's any help?

Farscape, you aint wrong on the MW bit. As fun as those times were, man did they get some rage in the pool during that.

 

I've been filtering from the get go. The problem is people are entitled to three profiles so have got two back ups to have another go. Either trying to sneak onto my friends list to spy or to abuse.. and in one case trying to get me to incriminate myself
I'd get banned. PET may have done a good job in other cases but in mine they have done nothing.

 

I also really hate the prospect of not renewing my account because "they" would count that as win as they wanted my account banned anyway. :/ Seriously how tf do they get away with having an actual gang/clan designed to troll and sabotage games without
consequence?

 

This isn't trolling, just harassment. Block and move on is really all that can be done about it.

 

@Cloud Bullies have low self esteems. That's why they bully. Momma not giving them enough attention. Misery loves company. They look for easy targets (their display of bravery). We are in the age of insecurity. I'm glad I'm not a kid right now.

Maybe I've been harrassed a few times. I don't remember it but after 10 years on live and thousands of mp games, surely it's happened. I've probably hurt some feelings too. When you play games with a big mish mosh of random humans, crap happens. Believe

When I first saw Jimbob's GT, I was going to report it for being racist - but then I noticed everyone was ignoring it and having a friendly and casual conversation with him (even a moderator). Then it occurred to me that it probably wasn't racist at all,
but rather that it was simply Spanish for a particular color...

I found this quite disturbing on a personal level because it reminded me of the way ignorant people often see things, which is to jump to conclusions and to see the negative connotation behind the word first... And I just did exactly that.

I feel so ashamed...

GG you make a fair point too, about Jimbob. It's far too easy to jump the gun.

Morigan (I haven't asked yet but LotR fan?) the tools are there for you to make use of. Its far less effort to block a person then it is for them to make a new account. They will get bored, it can just take persistence.
