So we all make mistakes.

Also, I too find it funny to receive hate mail. It kind of reminds me of chicken little, when watching it with my cousins and brother. Especially the part when it says, "You Have Hate Mail"

Reminds me when I knife kill and camp in a corner on Call of Duty

I just file a complaint. Then in 48 hours I tend to get a Message of Live saying "We took action on one or more of your complaints etc..."

Keep in mind the audience of the COD/MW games, 10 yr olds have no respect for money, nor do they care. If they get banned daddy comes on the forum demanding to know why his innocent child got banned....lol.

Its a double edged knife on the whole modding thing, developers should try to prevent it while gamers shouldnt be using it.

That is odd I even had a man send me a voice message breathing heavy saying very creepy sexually explicit things about him and me and I NEVER received a message from xbox. They didn't take action. I've received other creepy text messages but that kind of
proved to me what they think are serious complaints.

When I get hatemail I just reply back politely and keep them going until they block me.

 

In fairness Morigan, (and this is just a guess) but if they guy received a communication suspension, you wouldn't generally know about it unless the user themselves sent you a message saying he did.

 

I don't know about the voice message guy he may have been.. another one of them was still active however after sending abusive text messages. That was awhile ago now however.

 

Well I am glad its behind you. As I have already said, its a dreadful experience when you get things like that but so long as the right steps are taking, the wrongs will be righted and justice will prevail. *que Marvel music*

I wouldn't use the term bullied. People throw that around so much it's lost it's meaning. Just like the word hate. I see bullied as a threat of physical harm, so no, I wasn't bullied, and no it wasn't scary. It wasn't even really directed at me if I remember
right. Talk is cheap buddy.

It's not exactly behind me when I know for a fact that they used alternative profiles to try continue the rubbish. I've blocked them but they have not been banned.

I had reported people who had been extremely abusive and others have been told they received massages saying "action was taken" yet I have never received such a message which makes me think action was not taken.

 

I've been asked if I want to renew my gold membership and I very much doubt I will. Sexual harassment and abuse is common place, cheating is common place. For example a couple *always* had the boyfriend on the opposite team team killing while the girlfriend
on the other which would sabotage the game. It wasn't just them they encouraged other gamers to do the same "just for fun" and they did as part of this "clan", one member who had been asking people to get evidence on me to get me banned, and the the leader
of which was doing fairly well on the leaderboards. That player was actually *very* good, and I do believe they would have been there anyway.. however the in game abuse was ridiculous and ruined the game for all those were unlucky enough to stumble into it.
The place is meant to be fun not something that will make you want to turn the thing off because gamers just get nasty.

but what kind of abuse gets ignored? No not all complaints are followed up that is fairly obvious. I have had many text messages that were similarly abusive but that one sticks in my mind because it was a voice. Of course all the other messages have been since
auto deleted so kind of hard to prove those now. Of course.

So I paid for a year and that was my experience.. and the basic response from xbox is "all complaints are". No not buying it or a new membership for that matter.
