Gamerpic Suspension

Just started with this MS stuff. Created my own gamerpic so I'd have something unique. Was told at creation it would have to be reviewed so inappropriate content wouldn't be displayed. Ok, that's cool and reasonable.

I used a pic I found online with several unclothed ladies sitting on a poolside with their backs to the camera. Just their backs, nothing you won't see on every beach in the world. They are covered with pictures of Pink Floyd album covers in body paint.
Yes, I'm a Floyd fan.

Anyway, I thought it was tasteful and artistic. But ok, that's just my opinion. Others may vary. It certainly isn't porn.

So ok, it's denied. But instead of just denying it, I get a 28hr suspension against further changes to my gamerpic. So I'm getting punished for submitting a picture someone didn't like? If you don't like it, deny it, ok. But what's with the suspension? That's
just crazy. I'm sitting here scratching my head wondering exactly which child is making these decisions.

I get it. You're in charge and can do whatever you like. I'm a serf who must do as he's told. Microsoft makes this clear in so many ways. Do you really feel compelled to keep driving that point home? Is that really necessary?

Yes, I sound frustrated because I am. I just don't get this suspension. I have another picture I'd like to use but it has a guy (fully clothed) sitting in a window. Hopefully this won't be seen as a problem because you guys are the Windows people but you
didn't create this pic. Can I expect another suspension when I try to use that? Or should I just stop trying to personalize my experience here in any way to avoid damage to my reputation score? If that is the msg you're trying to send, isn't that in direct
conflict with the tools you're providing?

I don't play much multiplayer but when I do I'd sure like to avoid being lumped in with the griefers. They are the reason I game up on multiplayer years ago.

TLDR: If you don't like the submitted pic, fine, but was the suspension really necessary?

Yes, multiple enforcement actions could lead to a permanent ban. It doesn't matter what type of suspension or that it's just for gamerpics. And yes, using a gamerpic that was already removed can lead to another suspension.

Yeah, I think I'll just take future changes off the table. Just isn't worth the risk.

I'll just stick with the meaningless gamerpic I picked from the MS list when I first set it up. At least they didn't have a problem with that one! LOL

Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope things work out for you but I suggest to avoid the female pictures for future changes.

I did that. Read over their website, FAQ, etc..., before coming here. But like you stated, my suspension isn't long so it isn't "eligible" for review.

So I'm left wondering if my attempt to personalize my Xbox experience has resulted in a hit on my reputation score and hence my future multiplayer experience. I can check my score but it only shows a very basic graphical display, it doesn't show incremental.

It's simply unfortunate that I have no apparent way to get an answer to this. Oh well, I tried. Can't say I'm surprised. After all, MS isn't exactly known for letting people personalize their experiences. I knew this going in so I shouldn't let it bother
me now.

Guess I'll just forget about modifying anything and just focus on the games. That's what I really came here for anyway.

I have no issue with the picture being denied. I stated that at least twice in the OP.

My issue is with the suspension and how that may affect my reputation score. I also stated that in the OP.

Can you verify that the suspension I got does not have a negative impact on my reputation score?

And I looked before coming here but could find no way to contact the enforcement team. Do you have a link that isn't just to their information page, but to a utility that will allow me to contact them?
