Gamerpic And Gamertag Won’t Change

I recently changed my name and it has almost been 5 hours and i still see no difference i also changed my gamerpic to a custom one that was in no way offensive or even close to being innapropriate but it still says we still have your picture youll see
it again once we verified its ok i would just like to know when and if my name/gamerpic will change

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums.

In regards to this matter, as stated in
this article "It might take a little while for your custom picture to appear while we verify it’s OK. (If it’s not, it’ll be reverted to the last gamerpic or avatar you were using.)"

Additionally, Sometimes, changes made on the account may take time to appear or reflect since the system needs to make sure that the data will sync completely. If you're able to change your gamertag successfully, it should show up
within 24 hours from the time you changed it.

I would also confirm that your charge for the gamertag change when through successfully by taking a look at your

Order history.

I hope this is able to clear up any confusion this might have caused.

it can take more than 5 hours, if you don't see any change in the next 24-48 hours I would contact support at support.xbox.com

The procedure for changing Gamerpics is here :

The only restrictions mentioned are that a child's account cannot use a custom Gamerpic. There are no restrictions on how often you can change the Pic.
