    Gamer tag won't update!


    I Changed my gamer tag yesterday evening. Paid $10 and even got the email conformation but it won't update i tried removing the account from my Xbox clicked on every setting option available still nothing has worked. I have even l looked on many forums
    but can't find a solution. Any help?

    Gamer tag won't change

    Its been 5 days that my gamer tag won't update. I had bought a change gamer tag to replace my old one through web. My new gamer tag won't show up on the 360; Dashboard, Games, party and neither on the web. Please help.

    uhhhhh, an update. i didn't realize that i could move the swirling circle to my gamer tag , oops.

    Swapping gamertags

    Gamer tags are tied to accounts and can only be changed when you go through the process to change the gamer tag. No one can give you a gamer tag to assign to another account.

    So, neither you or as you stated, "people threating to take the tag as soon as it is chnaged" can take that gamer tag.

    The gamer tag won't be made available right away if you change the gamer tag on that original account.
