    Gamer tag won't change


    Its been 5 days that my gamer tag won't update. I had bought a change gamer tag to replace my old one through web. My new gamer tag won't show up on the 360; Dashboard, Games, party and neither on the web. Please help.

    Help with changing gamer tag

    i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

    I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

    Is the Gamertag appearing next to your post here on the forums the old or new tag?

    If it's still the old tag, you might wish to speak to Phone Support to see if they can look into the matter for you. Theyt have better visibility into your account than anyone on the forums:

    Swapping gamertags

    Gamer tags are tied to accounts and can only be changed when you go through the process to change the gamer tag. No one can give you a gamer tag to assign to another account.

    So, neither you or as you stated, "people threating to take the tag as soon as it is chnaged" can take that gamer tag.

    The gamer tag won't be made available right away if you change the gamer tag on that original account.

    Gamer Tag Keeps getting Banned

    That would be half of the gamer tags that I see. Every day there is a new slang word for something "inappropriate or illegal". Soon, there won't be any gamer tags to use that make any sense.

    Your gamer tag could be considered offensive!! Think about it! Would you be upset if you had to change your tag because of some obscure possibility of your tag having a slang attached to a word in it or someone taking offense to your tags possible meaning?

    I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

    Why did my gamer-tag change? It really didn't offend nobody ( BIgBOyLuvMiLPhz )it was a funny gamer-tag to make people laugh and this was my first time actually getting reported. My friends gamer-tag were funny but when they got reported they had to change
    there gamer-tag to something else or they couldn't play live at all and you gave them a (FREE GAMER-TAG CHANGE), how come I cant get that opportunity to change my gamer-tag?
