    Alright, so I hadnt used Xbox in awhile and decided to update the tag, from grayfuffdude to . To my surprise now there are numbers after it. Is there a way to rid myself of it? Because to my knowledge im the only online. Since I doubt
    anyone else would use the name. Orrr am I stuck with it? Because this shows up in Halo online and it bothers the absolute
    [Mod Removed - Profanity] out of me. Id prefer my old name over this if I knew Id get stuck with the numbers.

    Hi There,

    If it has numbers after it, then most likely there are other users out there with the same name. If you used your free name change, then you will have to pay to change your gamertag to another one.

    That means someone else has the original username already. Since a recent update you can change to the same name however the first one gets the version without suffix

    The only way to avoid the number/suffix after your gamer tag is to pick an unique one. The number indicates that there is someone else with that gamer tag and it helps others to distinguish between the players.
