Gamer-tag was changed by xbox and now I'm forced to pay

My gamertag was Dickin Dales they changed it to SweetFawn98051 and when I go to change it they say I need to pay $9.99 which I think is ridiculous because why should I be forced to pay again to change my gamertag if anything I should not be able to use
xbox live services till it is changed to a so called appropriate gamertag for FREE I just think it's dumb that random kids with anger issues can report you to the point it cost you time and money and grief because I'm good at a game like the gaming community
is broken all I ask for is that my gamertag can be changed freely this 1 time due to the fact it is not no where near fair I should have to pay because some random's feel the need to report my gamertag if it's that bad why let me change it to that in the first
place or let me keep it for months it's crazy , pitiful ,petty, and stupid

Changed my gamer tag!!

My gamer tag was marked as inappropriate. Which it really wasn't. And now I'm stuck with this forced tag. this isn't right. I shouldn't have to pay to change it. Y'all changed it with no warning

i have just had a gamer tag forced on me that i dont want and that i personally feel is offence why should i be given a gamer tag i feel is offence and have to pay to have it changed when the reason it was changed is because someone was offended why have

if you need a reason why go here:
http://enforcement.xbox.com and sign in and see what the problem was of the gamertag change and to prevent it from happening again. (also to prevent that I used my random gamertag as my own so if someone did that then it would be xbox's fault) now normally
more than one report is needed to do a change, Unless the gamertag is offensive because I think you know that the first part of your gamertag is kinda rude to some people. although it dont offend me. sorry about your experience

The policy of allowing you to change your name after a FNC was often abused. Many would just register the same name again, or a slight variation of the same name. The policy was changed, and you now receive a randomly generated name. The Code of Conduct
clearly states this, and you agreed to the COC when you signed up for LIVE. The COC is your warning, and you will have to pay the fee to change your tag to something you want.

But you are absolutely not obligated to change your gamertag.

I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.

Xbox is no longer doing Forced Name Changes if you add your first and or last name to a Gamer Tag.

You will have pay to have it changed again.

Thanks for coming to the Xbox forums. Unfortunately, you would need to pay the fee for the gamer tag change. There is no way around this as it is all automated. Support is not able to change gamer tags either. The only ones that do are Enforcement, but they
are forced due to they don't abide by the code of conduct.
