Gamer Tag showing up in business situations

Why on earth is my gamer tag showing in meeting requests???

Seriously why is the gamer tag even out in the wild? when I have all or almost all my privacy settings set to Friends only.

I just received a meeting request today (not the first time I have seen this) and it says Mossback Rossi: what the hell??

That is not me nor is that to be EVER used for business stuff, its a stupid gamer tag only meant for games and playing on online...

Please advise me how to remove this from ever showing up in the "real" world.

Changing a gamertag to a different Microsoft account from Windows

@BlandFiber2582 I had this very same issue with Windows 8 and what you'll need to do is call 1-800-4MyXbox and speak to Xbox Live Account support. Explain the situation and they should be able to open a ticket to get the gamer tag deleted for this specific
situation. The only thing is it takes 3-5 business days for it to be processed.

 

Assuming you're using Outlook for these meeting requests, you can look into Outlook settings for a way to

change the name associated with your Microsoft account.

I am not using office 365 or any kind of online activation, I am using my Action Pak subscription, I am an MS partner. This is good info but when I looked at my account, I see no reference to my gamer tag, very frustrating that whatever has happened that
I was not asked if that would be cool. It is not cool at all.
