    My son has a gamertag that was associated with my Ex’s email address. She changed her password after we split and now he can not log into his gamertag. How can i fix this?

    If you can recover other profiles besides your own, you will need to give phone support a call about the issue at 800-4MY-XBOX.

    Are all your old games there still and your gamer points, or is it a completely new account?

    If everything is still there, you may have had the gamertag reset. This could be because it violated the code of conduct. You can check here: https://enforcement.xbox.com

    Also if your account has not been used for some length of time, your gamertag may have been released back into circulation.

    unfortunately as your ex owns the microsoft account there is nothing that can be done.

    Microsoft account and gamertag are tied to each other and only the owner can use it.
