Gamer tag issue

Okay. I am wanting to change my gamer tag on my profile. When attempting to do so through my 360 I am signed out and presented with an error code (8b050008-6f419139-9eeb859f) saying that the feature is unavailable. However I have a 2nd profile on my console
that when I attempt to change the gamer tag it doesn't give the error message and will allow me to make the change. Main problem is that i want to use the account that has the problem because it has gold status for another year prepaid. How can this be fixed?
And why can i change one but not the other.

I have a major issue with my gamer tag, it looks like it has privacy settings of a child. Wont let me play online :-( . Anybody got any solutions, at my wits end

Unfortunately, at this moment the gamertag Force Change is as is. Please make sure in the future the Gamertag does not appear to Void the COD or Teams of Use. Any more questions please let us know.

I'm going to try my best to give out any possible solutions to this problem, and if none of them work some helpful contact information for the Microsoft Customer Support (For any possible Account Problems)

You may want to try rolling back your update: Dashboard > Setting > Storage > Highlight your storage device and press LB RB X LB RB X > Select yes and your console will restart. When you log back in you should be prompted to redownload the latest update.

If that doesn't help sort things out, I would definitely recommend trying the steps outlined in our

support.xbox.com/.../system-update-help

You may also want to check the Xbox customer Support Chat if this doesn't work:

Another solution might be to test your network settings:

Problem

If you’re seeing this message and error code, it means that your Xbox 360 console software is not up to date.

Solutions

Restart your console.

Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller.

Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you are prompted to do so).

Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.

Although in my own opinion if it works on one account and not the other the best thing would be to go directly to Microsoft Customer Support if the two solutions did not work:

Thanks for your reply. Removing and re-downloading my profile resolved the issue for me.
