gamer tag issue

My gamer tag was changed because it was deemed "offensive" but I though of a good name and I was pretty happy with the outcome. They changed it unexpectedly and I wanted to switch it back.

I have a major issue with my gamer tag, it looks like it has privacy settings of a child. Wont let me play online :-( . Anybody got any solutions, at my wits end

I'm going to try my best to give out any possible solutions to this problem, and if none of them work some helpful contact information for the Microsoft Customer Support (For any possible Account Problems)

You may want to try rolling back your update: Dashboard > Setting > Storage > Highlight your storage device and press LB RB X LB RB X > Select yes and your console will restart. When you log back in you should be prompted to redownload the latest update.

If that doesn't help sort things out, I would definitely recommend trying the steps outlined in our

support.xbox.com/.../system-update-help

You may also want to check the Xbox customer Support Chat if this doesn't work:

Another solution might be to test your network settings:

Problem

If you’re seeing this message and error code, it means that your Xbox 360 console software is not up to date.

Solutions

Restart your console.

Press the Xbox Guide button on your controller.

Go to Settings, and then select System Settings.

Select Network Settings.

Select Wired Network or your wireless network name (if you are prompted to do so).

Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Select Yes if you are prompted to update your console software.

Although in my own opinion if it works on one account and not the other the best thing would be to go directly to Microsoft Customer Support if the two solutions did not work:

Unfortunately, their is no way to get your old Gamertag back since your Account received a force Gamertag change and was market Offinsive. Changing it back can result in a getting suspended from Xbox Live. Any new Gamertag you would like to have you will

Am i understanding It correctly It was a forcés name change and You want to refuse thé sa me name? No That wont workk as thé name would be banned

Any attempt at reusing It will only end badly for You

Too many forcéd name changes on one account will less to a perm ban of thé account

Time to read thé code of conduct

 

But before they at least allowed me to change it free of charge, they didn't even allow me to change it now I have to pay 10 dollars because my name wasn't offensive.

 

I'm fine with at least changing it to something else

That's not cool that they won't at least let me switch it to something I'd like to use. The name they gave me doesn't roll with me at all.

You are always welcome to leave your feed back about the recent changes to your Gamer-tag at Xbox Live Wishlist/Feedback and always Discuss with other people about the "Price" for paying for a gamer-Tag, It`s always good to leave Feed-Back because your a
Xbox Customer. ^_^

Note: Talking about it in the Xbox Live Wishlist/Feedback is not going to resolve the problem and give you your gamer-Tag back but your welcome to discuss your experience there about it.
