Gamer tag Harassment

a few months ago I changed my gamer tag to RedSkull a fictitious captain America Nazi character since then I have been harassed mostly getting called a nazi freak etc. while playing online through game chats lately I don't even get on Xbox because it can
get so bad I just found out how to report people but through financial constraints can't change my name I asked a online rep if there was anyway to somehow get a free new name change to permanently end the harassment situation and he told me this was my best
shot please someone of Xbox team put a end to my misery.

If you want to change your tag you have to pay, just like everyone else.

The risk of getting harassment on your tag is not a reason to get a free change.

There is nothing about that tag that suggests you will receive harassment anyway.

If you do, all the tools required to block harassment are right there on your console.

I really have no idea why the guy was telling you to set up dummy accounts.

Your child playing on your account violates the code of conduct, one person per account.

 

Gamer tag reuse

I recently change my gamer tag due to harassment. I did this to stay and keep this person away but this person has found me and activated my old gamer tag to get back at me. I don't think it's rIght for someone right away pick that gamer tag. My harassment
was someone recording my conversations and playing it to their friends to make me look like a bad person. People do make mistakes and people do not always get along. It hurts me to be recorded. I feel like my rights have been violated. I know to stay away
from problems but what should I do?

 

Just change your privacy settings to friends only. Then only those you trust can send you a message.

You are very unlikely to get a free name change because sadly your exact story, with different gamertags of course, is used by scammers who simply don't want to pay. It's quite commonly told as a method on certain modding sites.

Also you aren't going to get any help here, this is a community forum full of regular users like yourself. The chance of running across staff is almost nil.

 

Seriously if your life is being made that much of a misery, wouldn`t it be worth $10 to end that??

Your financial constraints don`t seem to be a problem when buying xbox one consoles and games.

 

For what it's worth buddy, just know not all your fellow gamers are idiots. I know who Red Skull is and I know why you can be a Cap fan, wanting to sport "Hail Hydra" and not Nazism. Hell, if anything, he betrayed the *** to take control of a new power called
Hydra.
