    Gamer Tag Changed by Microsoft


    Wanted to know if someone out there can tell me why I had Microsoft change my gamer tag name and assign me a new one without asking and or having a good reason for it.

    They did it with an email with the subject of Xbox safety notification and Notice of Xbox Live Enforcement Action. At the end it ended up giving me a corny gamer tag without having a choice.

    There is no way to delete a gamer tag. You can pay to have it changed, but deleting the Microsoft Account will not delete the associated gamer tag and will only make that gamer tag inaccessible since there will no longer be a supporting Microsoft account.

    Gamer tags don't reset. Please Note that Microsoft only allows you to change your gamer tag only once for free. if you want to change your Gamertag it's going to cost $10. gamer

    You can try submitting a case review at
    http://enforcement.xbox.com     but if you want to change your tag, you will need to pay. That is per the code of conduct you agreed to.

    It would have been changed because it violates the code of conduct. You would have to go to http://enforcement.xbox.com for information on why and to see about submitting a case review.

    Gamer tags can't. Be deleted but can be name changed. You can also make a new account for free but you will loose all gamer points. To change a gamer tag it costs 800 Microsoft points and you keep all your achivements and gamers score
