GAMER TAG CHANGED AND I CAN'T CHANGE IT BACK

I paid money for my gamer tag. Xbox decided to change it and now i can't change it for free? WTF I WANT MY MONEY BACK OR A FREE NAME CHANGE NOW

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

As per the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct that you agreed to, your gamertag was force changed by the Xbox Live Enforcement team, this was probably done by another member filing a complaint on your gamertag, it only takes one complaint.

They review all complaints and if they feel it violates the ToU or Code of Conduct, they will ban that gamertag, which will generate a random one. I believe they may have removed the ability to choose a new one because people would choose similar ones and
so abusing that option when forced to choose a more appropriate one.

No one in this forum can give you any information into why it was banned, neither can anyone here offer you a free change or return any transaction for changing your gamertag.

Your best bet is to visit the enforcement team forums to obtain further information:

I noticied that you did not verify my answer, that is fine. But please be aware that you will get the exact same answer no matter who responds to your question. There is nothing no one can add to this that I have already said.

If you haven't already done so by enquiring to the policy enforcement team I recommend you do so, as no one on the forums here can do any of what you requested.

If you have any additional qustions you would like to add with problems with other stuff feel free to put them below. I will suggest this as the answer again, simply because we here cannot control the decision of enforcement actions, neither offer refunds
of any sort. The decision is down to the Enforcement Team, and only them.

The new policy is that you're given a randomly generated gamertag upon receiving a Forced Name Change. This occurred since you, unfortunately, had chosen a gamertag that was inappropriate for Xbox LIVE. This is in the Terms of Use/Code of Conduct you agree
to when you make an account.

Due to abuse in the past, the option of a free name change was removed. Unfortunately, you're only options are:

-Keep the current gamertag

-Pay $9.99 to change it

You won't be given a free change nor will you get the old gamertag back.
