    I am receiving a lot of hate mail and junk from unwanted users and I feel I don't want to use my account by can not afford a gamer tag change also I have seen hate messages on forums using my gamertag from other people ..

    Help with changing gamer tag

    i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

    I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

    I spoke to live support and she said that she has put in a request for a forced gamer tag change

    You can't get a forced gamertag change here in the forums, I'm afraid live support is wrong... :-/

    Support is wrong in this case. No one on the forums has the power to give a free name change. There is no way to request a free name change. The enforcement team gives a forced name change if your gamertag violates the code of conduct (which yours doesn't)
    however they will change it to a random gamertag. You would still have to pay to change it to something you want.

    I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

    Swapping gamertags

    Gamer tags are tied to accounts and can only be changed when you go through the process to change the gamer tag. No one can give you a gamer tag to assign to another account.

    So, neither you or as you stated, "people threating to take the tag as soon as it is chnaged" can take that gamer tag.

    The gamer tag won't be made available right away if you change the gamer tag on that original account.

    Why did my gamer-tag change? It really didn't offend nobody ( BIgBOyLuvMiLPhz )it was a funny gamer-tag to make people laugh and this was my first time actually getting reported. My friends gamer-tag were funny but when they got reported they had to change
    there gamer-tag to something else or they couldn't play live at all and you gave them a (FREE GAMER-TAG CHANGE), how come I cant get that opportunity to change my gamer-tag?

    I did signed into Mixer with that Gamer Tag: . I changed my Gamer Tag recently maybe it changed there. My new Gamer Tag is Crusader Colin. Try that one.

    the free gamer tag change was only allowed when your gamer tag change was forced. People abused this by reporting gamer tags that people wanted to change so once a force change was made they then changed it again to what they wanted for free. Because
    of that abuse of the system all game tag changes now cost even if a force change has happened.
