hello, I have recently been helped by Thomas which works for Microsoft tech support. I have brought my issue to him and he was able to help me with a gamer tag change. I would also like to leave a review for Thomas since he was very patient and helped me
along the way with my issue! I was informed that I would be able to change gamer tag.

Help with changing gamer tag

i want to change my gt to TidalSnow but someone else has already got it and I don't want to replace one of the letters with numbers so if someone could suggest how I change it up a bit to use it that'd be great.

I've tried it with a space between as Tidal Snow but someone's got that too.

You can change your gamertag any time you want by following the instructions here

You will have to pay a fee to change your gamertag.

Hello Cry3,

Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with a Gamer Tag change you made on the incorrect account. The only available option would be to change the gamer tag on the accidentally changed account, then set the gamer tag on the correct,
desired account.

Thanks for coming to the forums. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to swap it like you are asking. You can follow the

change gamer tag guide for information on changing the gamer tag. If once you do change it, and the gamer tag is released you may try and get the gamer tag on the account you wanted it on. Also, be sure to look over the

gamer tag update FAQ for further information.
