    Gamer tag change issues


    my username is Iam B1ade (captial i) and whenever i try to change my username, im willing to pay for it but it just says “Sorry. something went wrong. Try your gamertag again.” Although I’ve tried like 10+ times and on two different days but it says the server is normal. How do I fix this?

    I'm going to assume that what is going on is that you were issued a forced gamer tag change since the gamer tag may be deemed offensive. A forced gamer tag change can result in not being able to post on the forums until that gamer tag is changed.

    This happens sometimes ask your friends in the party if they see your old name or new one. You might be the only one seeing the name. Ask around and have fun. Have a god day.

    Based on what you have done I would give it 24 hours and then check again. Sometimes there are display issues after a gamertag change. If you still have an issue after 24 hours then I would re-post for further troubleshooting.
