Okay so it’s been awhile since I changed my gamer tag and i clicked on the custom profile and clicked my gt. It won’t pop up the gamer tag bar to customize gt. I tried my phone, website, nothing works. Why is Xbox difficult? I just want to

I don't think changing your gamer tag to your personal name is a good idea.

However, Microsoft has been buggy since the gamer tag multiple change feature has been available.

Nothing to worry about

Try again later or switch the gamer tag characters around.

Every time I try to switch my gamer tag to another email in account management it says "Sorry, we can't change your Microsoft account right now. For more info go to Xbox.com/AccountSwap." and tried later today and it still wouldn't work.

Quiet sometimes when you change your name it's normal that your old tag still remains imprinted the Microsoft service takes a while to process everything. Be patient a little bit and you will see that tomorrow everything will be changed.
