If you want to change your tag you have to pay, just like everyone else.

The risk of getting harassment on your tag is not a reason to get a free change.

There is nothing about that tag that suggests you will receive harassment anyway.

If you do, all the tools required to block harassment are right there on your console.

I really have no idea why the guy was telling you to set up dummy accounts.

Yeah, I'm going to pay for an extra account so my son can use my Xbox online. Just another reason to finally jump ship. And no everyone does not have to pay, if you have been harassed, you do not have to pay, if your name is in your tag and you are concerned
about privacy you don not have to pay, there have also been reports of Xbox One owners not having to pay. Not to mention, whoever or whatever I was talking to could not even tell me when I changed my tag last because It was in a different decade. Good customer
service should consider tenure. I've been there since the beginning. I've stood behind Microsoft, I have a WP8, W8 PC, and an XBOX. I will add, unless you are a Microsoft representative, your response is unnecessary.

 

My son is a minor, even if I opened an account for him, it is still my account. THEOWENKILLER, mind your own business.

There isn`t one single thing about that tag that would insight harassment.

No one gets a free change, no matter what you have read on some sites.

You have an xbox one, your gold account will share with as many accounts as you like on that console.

Your son can have an account with any name he likes, you wouldn`t need to pay for a tag change on his new account, and you would not be violating the COC.

 

To break it down, been an Xbox live member for 10 years, been a gold member for about 8, that comes close $1000 as I have almost always paid monthly. I changed my gamer tag within the first month of my initial sign up in 2005 and now in 2015 I need to pay
$10 to change it after 10 years as a customer. I'm done jumping through hoops and handing money to corporations who treat their customers like cattle.

 

What are you talking about? I haven't played online? I've been playing online since 2005 with Xbox, If you want to go back further try 2001 with Dreamcast.

Yeah well my account also states that the lat time I played my first 360 game was January 1st 1753, so apparently the information available there is not reliable. I have never owned an Xbox One, and my concern was not direct toward you, thank you.
