Gamer profile not working with live but connected?

So I was playing online and was having some lagg issues after transferring a game between my hard drive and external. I waited for the transfer to finish and shut down the xbox. when i turned it back on the xboxone was saying i wasnt connected to the internet
and the network tab crashed when i tried to open it. so i hard booted. Now i turn it on and the network says its connected but the dash wont appear and the side still says "connect to xbox live". i logged in with my friends profile and everything was perfect
but when i tried to switch back it timed out on changing profile and i had to restart again. Now my profile is logged back in but its still saying connected, but the profile cannot access xbox live options or play games. And yes i do have an active gold membership.

Gamer profile issue

I have a major issue with my gamer tag, it looks like it has privacy settings of a child. Wont let me play online :-( . Anybody got any solutions, at my wits end

There is a privacy setting within your profile I believe.

Try logging out of your profile and logging back in. If that doesn't work then try removing the profile completely and re-adding it. Let us know. Good Luck!

Have you tried running a LIVE Connection Test or tried recovering your profile?

Try re-downloading your profile to your account. You can find more information on that here (support.xbox.com/.../gamer-profile) If
that doesn't work, then try clearing your cache on your hard drive. Also, do you have a wired or wireless connection?

I suggest you to check your profile settings if they allow to connect to other gamers and to verify that the number of your live friends hasn't reached a hundred. If these solutions doesn't work check this useful link regarding NAT settings that decide your

@Covered - is your profile on your console with the name you prefer a LIVE enabled profile? Has it ever been connected to LIVE?

@Cupcake - This actually sounds like a different issue, but have you tried recovering your account on your console?
