Gamer picture, "Illegal use of drugs"?

My question is one of a simple nature,

Am I allowed to show marijuana in my gamer picture?

I spoke to a MS Support member and he advised me to roam the enforcement team page. The picture I have in mind only shows marijuana in hand, not necessarily the use of it. I am aware that the, "Illegal use of drugs" is prohibited,
obviously. But this would not be illegal as the character involved is clearly above the legal age.

I could have simply posted the picture on a new account and waited until it got banned or approved, but I prefer an answer that's 'set-in-stone' as they say.

A few questions for fellow adult gamers

I played alot of games. But I do not drink,smoke or take illegal drugs. Only drugs I take are the one my Dr gives me.

 

Got Banned From Forza Horizon Storefront

Microsoft won't help on game-specific bans unless of course, if it's their game they made. Contact Turn 10 (who made Forza Horizon) and see what went wrong.

IMO, you probably got temp-banned for uploading pictures of the pot leaf theme (illegal drugs) for the car and someone reported you for it.

 

You can view the Code of Conduct
here. That is what the enforcement team goes by. Generally if you think it may cause an issue, it's best to choose something else.

 

So in other words, the rules aren't concrete and whether the player pic is approved requires simply the opinion of an enforcement team member? Dang. Ggwp MS.

 

The code of conduct does say "implied" content too. So I would assume that the image implies the the use of illegal drugs and would there fore be against the code of conduct. I believe I have also seen comments in one of the support chats where people say
they got ban for it too.

 

Rule of thumb: If it's questionable it probably not a good idea.
