Gameplay Screen Grainy

I played Destiny and the screen got grainy when I got to Tower or the Moon. The 'pause' menu seems fine.

I started up Sonic Adventure 2 (digital) and its gameplay are grainy as well. The main menu seems fine, too.

All of avatars from my Friends List from the Dashboard, as well as my own, are grainy.

I launched my youtube app, but it froze.

I tried to unplug and plugged in all of the cords, as well as removing my hard drive. It doesn't fix this.

I cleared the cache of my system. Still doesn't fix this.

I need help on this, so that gameplay screen would go back to normal.

Game sucks

Gameplay is good... Graphics look very grainy, with lot of artifacts, expected better graphics....

I agree with Fuzz. My wife is excited seeing YT on our big screen. I said I hoped the quality was good because if it's not, it'll be grainy as heck.

Please take a look at this guide and see if the troubleshooting steps help out with those graphical problems you're seeing on the console.

I tried all of those steps beforehand. Still doesn't solve this problem.

I own the X-Box 360 Slim for 6 years without any problems until this happened few days ago.

 

If resetting your settings and trying a new cable, then your console needs to be replaced.

 

I would certainly try a different HDMI cable and a different Tv if you can just to eliminate those from the possible causes.

Generally if the display is grainy it's grainy all the time not just at certain points in games, check your Tv picture settings, the Xbox display setting particularly the display discovery option.

If it is you're not using HDMI and the cable you're using has a switch on it then check that the switch is set to HDTV not just TV.

 

I did try using different HDMI cable. Still grainy (static-like). I made sure if my Wii U has no problem; good thing it didn't have grainy screen, so it seems that my X-Box 360 Slim is faulty.

I tried the screen setting on my TV (changing the resolution, color, changing to 720p, etc.). Didn't work. I don't use the RCA Switcher for my 360. It's plugged directly to my TV's HDMI port.

The grainy (static-like) screen DO affect all games (physical AND digital) and avatars from Dashboard. Apparently, certain apps like Youtube works just fine.

 

Your console is damaged and needs to be serviced.
