Gamepass will not update my games

I have 5 games listed on the xbox gamepass app that I need to update but for some reason no matter what I do it will not actually update them. I have gone into the game directly and pressed the update button and it shows that it is pressed but nothing happens. Went to manage all games and attempted to update all and that also just looks like I press the button but nothing actually happens.

Things I have already tried:

1. Went to apps and features>Xbox App>Advanced Options>Clicked repair

2. Went to apps and features>Xbox App>Advanced Options>Clicked reset

3. Checked the windows store for updates to any of my apps - Everything is fully up to date according to the Microsoft store

4. Shut down my pc and restarted it (both) - Full shut down and a reset

5. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app

Someone please help.

My gamepass is payed gears5 still work, it's the update which crash certain games; some are affected, others dont; but it's the update of the gamepass app which caused all this mess

You can't even start these games?

Type the name of the games in the Windows bar>right mouse button>application settings and click ''Terminate, reset and restore''. and try to update or launch these games.

True enough!

Funny thing is that I actually just reformatted my whole PC (full reset) about a month ago so hopefully that is not what I need to do but more I believe it is something broken with Microsofts App.

When you did the reset, was it via the Reset function within Windows? I have seen quite a few reports of the reset function not actually removing everything and problems persisting.

Personally, I never use reset features...I always go with a full clean install wiping everything from the drive as, whilst it's a pain reinstalling everything, it's the only way to be sure there's nothing left over
