Gamepass sharing to other xboxes in household

Hi

I'm tearing my hair out trying to get this to work. I'll try my best to explain.

We had 3 consoles (2x xbox one, 1x xbox one s) I have gamepass ultimate. I used to be able to play fallout 76 with my son, I played on the xbox one s in living room, he played on xbox one in his bedroom. It just worked.

I also had an xbox one in my bedroom which I could use also.

now I have a new xbox series s. I set this up in the living room, I moved the one s into my bedroom. My sons xbox remains the same. The old one from my bedroom is now in my daughters room.

I set the new series s as home xbox, now the sharing of gamepass has stopped working and my son gets the message to buy the game. So I set his as the home xbox but when he signs in and ties to play he is asked to subscribe to live or gamepass. I can log into my bedroom one and play but not against him anymore. Ive use to of my 5 home xbox moves now as well. I am completely lost, I know its possible as it used to work?? I think Im right in saying that I can only be logged on one xbox at a time which is what I am doing (either in the living room or the bedroom both of which let me play on my profile fine. It just wont let my son play on his xbox which is signed in as him on the home xbox.

Please help, Im way to old to figure this out.

wrong, gamepass games can be downloaded by any account on the home console as my kids do it.

Yes the games are all downloaded previously. Issue is sorted it now works as it used to. I can play fallout 76 against my son and show him that parents really are better at everything

The answer was set my sons Xbox as the home Xbox as that's where I want to share to.

Game pass doesnt share

Only the gold part does

Any gamepass game they want to play MUST BE downloaded via the primary account to be used to download

Anybea play games are locked to the primary account unless you purchase them

HOWEVER gameshare can only be used on one console and you have a limit of 5 switches per year

After going on live chat everything started working as it should, Think it may have needed a short while to make let changes kick in. Happy again if a little embarassed.

there is but i won't say if you are sharing outside of your household, sharing is simple on pc including gamepass pc but it is better to be in the same household even if it is multiple pc's.
