    I have the game pass ultimate, which includes The Outer Worlds.

    When the game is removed from game pass, or i cancel the subscription, can i move my progress/saves to a game bought from the official store, or the epic store.

    So, i play with the game pass for a while, then decide to buy the game out of the official store, the epic store or steam (when its launched there), can i continue from where i left.

    I'm ok if i have to move some files, i'm just wondering if it is possible.

    I'm on pc btw.

    Xbox game saves are stored on the cloud so when you later buy it from the official store, the epic store or steam, it will synch and download your game save and you can continue where you left off.

    Hi There,

    Transfering save files between launchers or stores on Windows is possible but from steam to Windows Store games is not as straight forward as copying and pasting the save. Firstly you will need to locate the save files in each launcher, I would recommend
    backing up the save files before attempting it in case something goes wrong and you corrupt the file. You then need to copy the save file from Steam to the Gamepass save file location, once this has been done you need to rename the file and change the file
    extension to match that which Gamepass uses. For example, steams file extension is ".savegame" you will need to remove that. I hope this helps
