Gamepass save for psychonauts suddenly gone

Today i went to play my copy of Psychonauts that i can play through PC gamepass and it acted like i had never played it before. It played the startup cinematic and asked me to create a new file. I have looked everywhere and can't find anyone with the same problem and when i look into the games saves in the files there is nothing there. If my save is gone for good i at least would like to know why.

I tried this solution and uninstalled the console companion. I then went back into the game and it still wasn't there. When I go into the "SAVEDGAMES" file in the games files all thats there is a file called "savegameprefs". Should there be a file for my own save game?

Hi Jaden, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

It may mean that your saved progress was not able to sync properly. No worries, I was able to check on the game support's end and one of the solutions provided is uninstalling the Xbox console companion and then re-launch the game.

If you played the game while connected to Xbox Live they should just sync automatically. In this case, it would be best to reach out to the game support so they can validate that for you.
