Gamepass PC - EA Linking doesn't work

I can't play any EA games on gamepass (PC), because they demand you to link with EA, and linking doesn't work for me and a large number of users, as we might have had an old link or account on the same email before gamepass linking became needed, which may or may not exist anymore.

There's no fix for it other than making a new Xbox account, subscribing there instead, and then trying to link to EA, essentially starting fresh. Which means you lose all achievements, progress, friends, and so on.

I'm saying this after being in contact with live support from EA on more than 10 occasions, phone, and email sessions, explaining my problem in detail, and there's absolutely nothing anyone from EA can do.

Either way, looking on both the Xbox and EA's forums, there's a massive chunk of players who pay for gamepass which can't access a single EA title due to this issue.

Unlinking and trying to link again also isn't a possibility according to EA-themselves.

Any advice from your end or Microsoft's perspective, as EA can't do anything?

And as a side remark, I don't understand why Gamepass would allow this to be a thing, where a third party requires them to not only link but use their platform to play their games. I hope Microsoft and Xbox only pay EA based on actual downloads and playtime and not as part of a contract.

Thanks. That may work for some people but whatever account EA have is demanding a password reset after login via Xbox credentials. I can't reset the password as I don't know where they're sending the password reset email.

I understand this, but mostly users are having this situation as i mentioned because they don't remember the account linked information, but I know other companies procedures also, they have the same situations, unfortunately there's nothing to do trough Xbox to solve this

Sorry to disagree on this but I feel this is not on EA or Xbox side, as users like us, are who link the accounts, and that should remember/update the accounts information, it's like saying the bank that it's on them if you can't remember the account owner name or account numbers

You'd be incorrect. Other services (Epic, Blizzard, Ubisoft, Twitch, to name a few) allow you to unlink an account, or reach out to customer service or support to assist you with reclaiming or unlinking a potentially lost or forgotten account. EA simply doesn't have this in place. If you've connected to them once with anything, that's it. It's set in stone and it's impossible to solve it.

And to be clear, I've only had a single email for both Xbox and EA throughout my life, both working fine individually, but EA doesn't accept the link. When attempting to link, it redirects me to an infinite "reset password" message, which again, no one from EA can solve. They can't even confirm if I actually ever had another account linked, regardless of security validation on my end, as it's lost in their system.

I've browsed both the Xbox and EA forums a lot in the past year, and this does indeed seem to not only be a common issue but very unique to EA, which is why I might appear annoyed, justifiably so.

The offer it's a partnership between Xbox and EA for you to be able to play those games, the subscription doesn't belong to Xbox so there are some requirements for it

The linking system of the accounts it's not made by Xbox, this is on EA servers, ideally when you link an account with your other accounts you should not use an account that you won't keep using to avoid this
