Gamepass on Chromebook dropping controller input

Everything is connected, gamepads updated and have tested them on gamepad tester. It will run fine for a few minutes then completely drop my input, occasionally it’ll pick up an input or two then drop again. Reloading the page fixes it for another minute or two before dropping again. I’ve tried Bluetooth connection, wired usb c to usb c, usb c to usb, an xbone one wireless controller, and a ps5 controller. It used to work fine but as of the last few days it cannot stay connected if my life depended on it.

I recently power washed and completely reset this machine as well because I was having issues with dev build causing crashes when I connected my controller, post switching back to stable the controllers connect without crashing my Chromebook but won’t register on gamepass for any substantial space of time. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

    :)

Game Pass on Chrome Book has not worked since mid December - when will the patch arrive?

Try making sure the chrome book is up to date and reinstall the game pass app. This might help. Also make sure you are using the Chromebook close enough to the router on a 5ghz network or ideally use a ethernet cable.

Gamepass can also work on an android tablet or phone if you are still having problems with the Chromebook.

When trying to play Xcloud says “we can’t save any more data for this game or app” how do I fix this?

I’m not streaming on my Xbox. I’m using the gamepass app on my chromebook. I also tried playing on my iPad but it still got the same error code 0x80830003

How to enable microphone in Cloud Play?

    Hello!

    To answer your questions:

    1. I am not running windows. I am on a Chromebook, running Chrome OS Version 112.0.5615.134 (Official Build) (64-bit).

    2. I've made sure both my chromebook and bluetooth headset are up to date and working as intended. My headset works fine on my Xbox and on other bluetooth connections (my phone, or a computer call).

    3. Yes, I've updated them as much as possible.

    For your troubleshooting solutions:

    • Everything is up to date.
    • I am very sure audio is coming into my headset, and I am fairly sure that microphone input is being received by the chromebook. When I am on a call, it works as intended.

I am using my controller and headset on my chromebook both connected via bluetooth. Could that potentially be a problem?

Thanks for the speedy reply, I really appreciate it! :)

Steam Controller with Game Pass on PC?

basically no, gamepass is picky when it comes to controllers, they prefer ones that use x-input only, the anti cheat in gamepass games is the exact same used in steam games and ubi games and origin games etc etc.

HOW TO USE IN BUILT MICROPHONE ON CHROMEBOOK ON XCLOUD

    Hello Jesse Taylor3,

We appreciate you for sharing this with us and welcome to the Xbox Forums.

To use your in-built microphone on Chromebook on xCloud, you need to make sure that your microphone is enabled and set as the default input device on your Chromebook. Here are the steps to do that:

    1. Click on the status area in the bottom right corner of your Chromebook screen.

    2. Click on the gear icon to open the Settings menu.

    3. Scroll down to the "Device" section and click on "Audio".

    4. Make sure that the "Input" section is selected.

    5. Check that the microphone is enabled and set as the default input device.

    6. Adjust the input volume as needed.

Once you have confirmed that your microphone is enabled and set as the default input device, you can use it to communicate with your friends on Fortnite through xCloud.

If you are still having issues with your microphone, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

    1. Restart your Chromebook and try again.

    2. Check that your microphone is not muted or turned off.

    3. Try using a different microphone or headset to see if the issue is with the device itself.

    4. Check that your internet connection is stable and strong enough to support xCloud.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to ask.

    Kind regards,
