    Good day everone!

    TLDR: Gamepass games stop working if you unplug your console and you do not connect to the internet.

    My workaround was to connect to the internet, open a few games, then go back offline, and all games would work. This is especially helpful if you will not have internet for a long time. But I discovered a new, easier method that doesn't require internet.

    See, the issue is that everytime you disconnect the console for a while, the date and time gets reset. Once you turn it back on, go to the settings and set the correct date and time, even if you do not connect to the internet, and your games will start working. You will be able to enjoy Gamepass games installed until your subscription ends. You will still have to connect once a month to verify subscription.

    For me that work at sea, I do not have an easy way to get internet often, so this is a godsent. This works on Xbox One and Series X.

    Xbox is connected to the internet, but will not connect to xbox live.

    As the virus has spread so has gamepass and xbox live usage There is a great amount of usage so please be patient. Thats why xbox has dialed back profile pictures and certain downloads in peak hours. check this link for xbox status on core systems etc

    as gears 4 is in gamepass that licence overwrites your own licence whilst subscribed and gamepass games cannot be played offline i believe. also there are a large amount of gold games that require online connection to run.

    but there is another option to try as you are not connected.

    go to settings, network and select offline. this then tells the console to run in offline mode.

    Let's refresh the console's system cache.

    NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

    No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Settings.

    3. Select System.

    4. Select Console info

    5. Select Reset console.

    6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

    This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

    The servers have already been fixed. Please try your games again.
