GamePass Games Recovery

Hello everyone, I recently had my main windows drive fail. Its surprising to me because the drive is less than 5 months old and its one of the most popular drives on the market right now (Sabrent Rocket Pcie 4.0 NVME). Anyways after figuring out I would not be able to save the drive seeing as its shot I used one of the other drives in my build to load a copy of Windows 10 onto and the pc works fine. So I've been reinstalling all my programs, Changing settings back to my liking and recovering my games but I seem to have hit a road block. I have about 10-15 games downloaded via gamepass that I have installed on a external hard drive. I started trying to set all my games back into the gamepass launcher but ive had no luck. Is there a way I can have windows 10 recognize or see the games that are on the drive or am I going to need to redownload them? I dont mind if I have to take the download route but if there is a way to just recover the games it would be the most preferable method. I keep games I play often on one of my SSD's but this HDD is loaded and I would love to save a litte time. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help answer my question.

Thank you so much for helping me clear this issue up. I had assumed something like this was the issue but I wasn't quite sure.

unlike most other launchers the gamepass games are in an encrypted folder and this needs clearing, then the long task of downloading everything again. Microsoft have not added the locate and verify files ability as the folders are encrypted to that one windows install.

After i tried all advises on this page i then decided to make a recovery,

It work for 1 day, then the same problem,

Again i tried everything, except recovery as it was somehow corrupted after tried to remove xbox game bar and gaming service. .

Last week it was the avira antivirus , this time a new problem. . . I tired of the gamepass. . .

Now im doing again a 99 giga game reinstall of destiny 2 . . What a waist of time

If it has only been 1 week, you could also try to fill out the account recovery form to see if you are eligible as the owner of the account, you just have to fill it out with precise information that you are or own the account.
