GamePass games all crash to desktop (PC)

I have gone through all the common"fixes": check page file size, close all monitoring apps, uninstall and reinstall both the games individually and the xbox app. reset xbox app, exclusion made for windows security, drivers uptodate. Problem persists with all game pass games I have used... Battlefield 5, Forza 4, Flight Sim. I can get 1 race maybe 2 before it just crashes to desktop. Getting ready to pull the plug on xbox and just get the games I can from steam.

any help would be appreciated

System specs are 5900x, RX6800XT, 32gb ram, windows 10 pro

I'm seeing a lot of issues with that GPU since it's release....AMD have a history of driver troubles with it's GPUs.

Do I take it that games play fine if you download them from another platform?

What happens if you try a Game Pass game that isn't an online one (ie doesn't have a Multiplayer component)? Just checking as the 3 you listed all have MP. Whilst it shouldn't make a difference, it's worth checking.

If you haven't already, try running a benchmark program to make sure it's definitely confined to GP. You can download 3DMark from Steam for free...just scroll down the page slightly and you'll see a "download demo" button on the right:

Is it crashing to desktop? Crashing to a blue screen? Or crashing causing the PC to restart?

Does your PC meet the min req?

Do you have all of your drivers current?

Is your PC well ventilated?

1. ea games via gamepass on PC are completely disconnected from xbox live, all it does is tell ea you have a sub and the games run via ea desktop app, so there is no cloud saving for those games.

2. majority of pc games via gamepass on PC don't support cross save or cloud saving, you would need to start afresh on the console versions.

I don't have XBox... only a PC (i.e. launched from my PC's desktop).

Game with update (August 2022) should (obliged to) work without a crash when launched from the desktop.
