Gamepass for PC games after a system reset

Hello community

Recently I had to reset my PC and let it do a Windows re-install (Win10) after it got stuck in a BSOD loop.

When it had recovered, I noticed it had left a list on my desktop of all the apps that have been removed. Most if not all of my gamepass games are on this list, and if I go to settings -> apps, there's no games there.

However, I can see on the SSD that I had all the games on, the folders are still there and seemingly intact. Including 120GB+ of MS Flight Sim.

So my question is, is there a way to get the gamepass app to recognize these game folders without doing a full re-install?

I just talked to MS support on the phone and they don't think there is, but I'm hoping the community can help me out.

nope as they are encrypted, once you change/re install windows then a full install is required.

95% of pc gamepass games saves are local only and do not support cloud saving. if you reset the system they are gone for good.

I use gamesave manager which is a free program that i run once a week to backup every single save on my system.

Or you could.use the pc version if it's on gamepass pc if you meet the system requirements

Xcloud removes system requirements but are as mentioned console games

a lot of the pc gamepass games do not have cloud saves and only save locally, be aware of this if you ever reset your pc.
