    every time i try to play rainbow 6 siege, im asked to renew my gamepass despite owning the r6 disc and having it in my console. i did have my account on my friends xbox for a day or two, while he has gamepass and mine expired today.

    Is it asking you to renew Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate? If yes, Xbox Live Gold is required whenever we will play an online multiplayer game such as Rainbow Six Siege.

    I did that with Minecraft. If you try to launch it without the disc, it will say yoou need to renew Gamepass. Or If you tried to boot the game on disc and it asks you to renew Gamepass, then check the disc and try again.
