Gamepass app & Microsoft store. Why cant these games be combined on PC?

Hi there,

I'm just wondering why i cant add the games i bought through the MS store on PC to the xbox app on PC so i can track my achievements and what not. It seems ridiculous that this is not implemented imo. I've been wondering this ever since i bought the "new" Yakuza game and only when it came to gamepass i could add it to the xbox app. I also have games on the app that dissappeared ages ago from gamepass but i can still play them in the xbox app since i bought them.

Why cant you combine these 2 stores? Or remove games completley from MS store and move them to xbox app... Seems inefficient and ridiculous imo.

Just wondering... probably wont get an answer since there are more pressing questions here. To be fair i actually dont mind if i wont get one just wanted to let you know.

they have in the windows store under windows 11, all games owned that are xbox games for windows show under the xbox app and if you go to the store to see them it then opens the xbox app again. the windows 11 store is currently in beta, they basically split the xbox games and merged them into the xbox app.

it is not available on the microsoft store for pc, therefore not available in the xbox app or gamepass pc, it is purchasable on steam though.

if you have gamepass pc or gamepass ultimate then you should be able to download those games. is the windows install fully up to date and is there any updates waiting in the microsoft store app.
