Game works on console that purchesed/downloaded it on any profile, but not on another console.

If you downloaded those games on a HDD using your console, Those games are licensed to your console and will not work on another console with transferring those licenses to her console which would require you to download your profile to her console then
doing a license transfer. after that those games will work

Yes, if you use your account to download to his console, you would be able to re-download it on another later.

This is because the son's console would be the 'Home' console for your profile and any content bought on it will work for any user, and the content will work for your profile on any console. (When you go to My Games & Apps, all your purchases will be listed

If you know someone with the download that works you can download your profile to their console and then sign in with your profile and download the game again which takes seconds, being still signed in with your profile on their console copy the game to
a USB flash drive, once copied over remove your profile from the friends console, now go to your console and copy the game from the USB flash drive to your consoles hard drive and voila it will work no problem.

The reason why you have to download the profile to another console is because your profile info needs to be associated with the download.

DON'T FORGET TO REMOVE YOUR PROFILE FROM THE FRIENDS CONSOLE AND WHEN DOWNLOADING IT MAKE SURE NOBODY IS WATCHING YOU ENTER YOUR ACCOUNT DETAILS (email and password).

You can download the game again at any time from Download History on any console using your profile. However, the license for the game only downloads to the console that originally downloaded/ purchased it.

This means that if you download it again to another console you must be connected to Xbox Live to play it on that console. The only console you can play it on without an Xbox Live connection is the one on which you first downloaded it.

If you purchased the DLC on said profile on the console your on now you shouldn't have any problem playing it on another other profile.

DLC is locked to the profile it was purchased with and on the console its first downloaded to, what you want to do is sign in with the profile you originally purchased the DLC with, go to account management and then on the first panel it well say 'transfer
license' Do this and then download all your DLC/arcade games to your new console and everything should work fine for your new profile and brothers profile.
