Game won't start (error 0x80070002)

Witcher 3 won't start for me . Error (0x80070002)

I also tried purchasing a backwards compatible game from the Xbox marketplace (Lost Odyssey) and it won't start either.

It gives me the error 0x80070002.

Did you try clearing your Xbox One cache? The way to do it is to completely turn off your Xbox, wait until the power brick turns off as well, then unplug the power brick cord from the back of the Xbox, wait 30 secs, and then plug it back. Then try starting

Hi, I tried both of them and it didn’t work. Could it possibly be that i don’t have a credit card? I used one to purchase it and once i got then I removed it. Do i need one registered to play it?

To answer your question, no, you do not need to have a credit card on file to play a game that you have already paid for. If the payment did actually go through, then a digital license is applied to your account. I would double check
your
Microsoft Account order history to make sure the payment completed.

If you have confirmed the payment was good, then you need to

power cycle the Xbox. Hold down the power button on the console until it shuts down and then remove the power cord from the console and the power outlet. Leave the console unplugged for 5 minutes and then try again.

If you cannot install a game, try out a soft factory reset, where you reset and keep games and apps installed.
Accounts on the console will be removed and you will need to re-connect to your network during the setup. Make sure you have your account's login information so you can sign back in during the set-up.
