    Game wont Install, Missing game file


    I started installing a game (Forza 5) yesterday but then decided to pause it. Later that day i ended up updating my Xbox app since it was out of date, but after it finished updating the app my game (Forza 5) was no longer in the download section. At first I thought that i would just reinstall it, but when i try to it says that it is preparing for about a minute then goes away/cancels. I've also noticed that the space that it was meant to take on my drives were still taken up/used. I've looked through my files and apps but cant seem to find it. I dont know what to do now.

    First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the problem you are having, I suggest you try the procedure below.

    (Some users have reported that this allows downloading the game)

    1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.

    2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.

    3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.

    4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.

    - If that works, the download will probably pick up where it left off.

    It appears to be an issue of missing files in the installation. Reinstall the game with your Antivirus turned off completely

    Missing files can be recuperated by installing the game again. SOT is a game still in constant update so various patches can be applied.
