    Game Won't Get Past Splash Screen


    I've been playing this game (GTA V) for a few years on my xbox with no problem. I played it fine yesterday. I updated the game. It won't get past the boot screen.

    I've soft reset and hard reset my console. Did nothing.

    I don't want to reinstall the game, because it's a large game (76.4GB), and I'm not sure if it will even help. It is digital.

    I think it might have something to do with the update, but I can't be sure.

    Please help me.

    (This also happens to disc copy of Monster Hunter World.)

    Cant get past splash screen

    Same problem. Has anyone successfully resolved this? I can see the Xbox ONE sending /receiving info over my router, but have been waiting over an hour on the green screen. Time to pack it up and ship it back?

    Game Won't Get Past Splash Screen

    Hi. Please press and hold the power button on your console for 10 seconds to do a hard reset. Turn the console on and try again.

    If that didn't work please navigate to the game under my games and apps and press the menu button and scroll down to saved data and select to delete all locally saved data. Your saved data will sync from the cloud once you open the game again

    I don't believe deleting save data will fix this issue. If the power cycle does not work then you can try doing a factory reset on the console. There's an option to keep installed content so you won't need to redownload it. If that doesn't work then you
    may need to consider the delete/reinstall method .
