Game won’t download because it’s corrupt?

I’m trying to install MWII, all the packs will install however the actual game won’t install. It says installation stopped every time. When i click on it it says “The item you are trying to use appears to be corrupt”

I’ve tried uninstalling it and reinstalling multiple times. Please help

Hi Emma, yes please.

And in your specific case, instead of pressing the power button. You can turn off the console as usual with the controller

And turn on in that way as well

The purchase history says complete and I know I’ve definitely got the game as I’m game sharing with my boyfriend and it’s allowing him to download it.

I have an Xbox One.

I haven’t tried installing another game however I will try now and report back to you.

Edit: I just tried installing a game and it started downloading within a few seconds.

I have also tried restarting my console and turning my internet off and back on.

Mines telling me to purchase the game again. I've checked and I was still charged 100 but yet can't play the game. Why?

The issue here is I can’t power cycle the console as my xbox button on the front of my xbox is broken which is very annoying in this situation or that would’ve been the first thing I would have done.

However, I will try everything else you suggested when I’m awake and I’ll let you know if I manage to get it working.

Can you try installing the game remotely?

For this you can use the Xbox mobile app or do it via Xbox.com

By the way, when you say "I have also tried restarting my console" do you mean power cycling the console?

If not, please do it:

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

After that, try to remove and re-add your profile on the console.

Also disconnect your router from power for about 3 minutes. Then connect it again an when everything is working, try again
