Game Won’t Download/Apps and Games won’t open

Yes i have done this. My external hard drive had 80% left of storage. But now it wont connect to my xbox. The hard drive itself has the light on and you can feel it turned on, but the xbox itself wont recognize it.

Have you tried to factory reset (clear cache option on your Xbox) that usually helps and fixes most of the issues that are related to your question. If u do not know how to do it please follow this link

Seems that my external hard drive is no longer reading for some reason. It was working fine this morning.

Sounds like you may have ran out of storage on your xbox which would cause the game to stop downloading. Not sure if that would cause other games to stop working ( It's possible I guess since you're out of storage and can't save anymore on the drive )

See if that's the case if not since you've already tried some troubleshooting last thing to do would be reset Xbox to factory settings. If that doesn't resolve the issue your hard drive may be failing or it can be some other hardware issue.

if that is the case see if you still have warranty coverage.

Nothing has given off a sign that it would have failed. No ticking, its not overheating, nothing. I have formatted the device 3 times and the xbox still wont bring it up. I even let it sit overnight thinking that maybe with time, some weird way it would
fix itself. Im at a loss, and frankly quite irritated with such a garbage product. Ive had dozens and dozens of games just up and disappear. I understand i can re download things ive purchased, but thats besides the point. Even doing that will take weeks
upon weeks due to lack of internet where i live.
