Game with gold

Going Back to games with gold, there is not exchange for money or value in order to download said game. There isn't a value written on the download button, on the contrary there is written "free" or something similar ("gratuito" in italian).

Games with gold is not a sale by definition. The only money involved are those spent on subscription, in order to obtain Gold subscription. This is the sale. Other than that, you can download the game with gold without any other money. It
is a bonus, a reward, a free thing. It shouldn't even being called "purchase" but "redeem" when we speak of game with gold.

This is the fundamental difference between games with gold and the deals of the week. The second require an exchange of money beyond the subscription. It is a sale.

Following this, the deal of the weeks' time limitation applied to Gold members
has perfect reason, because Gold members will pay more money by the end of the week, and this will inject more immediate income to Microsoft. If there was no time limitation, players will pay for deals whenever they want, meaning no immediate
income (and not real deal). Convenient for us, but counter - productive to Microsoft.

So my question remain: Speaking about Games with Gold, why Gold members must click the download button (or whatever else) by the time limit? Does Microsoft gains something if I press download now (and if yes why not later), for a free game?

You say that they can't leave those "sales" running the entire time you are gold (so without time limitation), because if the games continued to be free (
so without time limitation) that would defeat the purpose of having new games each month.

So: no time limitation= no free games each month, over time every game will be free. However there is a thing that cancel that time limitation, equating to all that you said:
push the free download button. Players do that, so the game continues to be free. Does that mean all the bad things you said will happen? It does not seems to me. Seems strange that Microsoft would put time limitation on one hand, and the free
ability to cancel that time limitation on another, if that would triggers what you said.

Your scenario could happen if all Gold members would have retro-active games with gold, for example I subscribe on December 2016 and have the possibility to download games with gold of November 2016. But I have not said this.

Finally, you are right, not every game is wanted, but I didn't talk about automatic download, I talked about automatic game account's association, they are two different things.

TL;DR: I just want that the same options that I have already if I "purchase" the free game (so no time limitation, possibility to dowload whenever i want), would be
automatic and no manual, because there is no reason for manual (that I know yet).

You can go round and round with our knowledgeable Ambassadors here, but this is a pretty nifty idea. I think posting it up on our
Feedback site will be the best for you to get your voice heard. I've been around since Games with Gold was introduced and haven't heard a suggestion about adding it to accounts automatically
that have Gold. I would search on the site first, and if that doesn't give you any results, please post up the suggestion yourself.
