Hello, i have activated xbox live 4days ago but unfortunately didn't download the game with gold for hard disk's space problem, but I didn't know that i cannot download the game later. Please is there any way to reclaim the game?

I've had people call me arrogant in the past because I do act like I know everything from time to time and although I don't know everything, I do still know a lot and try to approach things from a practical standpoint whenever I can - I've become significantly
more humble and careful with things I say over the past few months due to past transgressions with other posters as well.

As for how much I game, it has indeed come to a point where I'm on the forums more than I game, but I do still use my Xbox consoles to play games and do other things - at least 3 hours a day if I were to put a number to it, which is a lot considering all
of the other things I make time for in my life.

Regardless of what you or anyone else thinks of me, I'm here because I enjoy it and the people I socialize with (most of the time). I also enjoy helping others whenever and wherever I can. If I end up being wrong about something, I accept that and move on
(which I admit I didn't often do in the past) rather than holding a grudge - after all, those are the worst things to have.

 

Sorry, but no. Once a promotion ends it's not possible to get that game at that price unless it goes on sale or free again.

 

Thank you Smwutches. I wrongly thought that the promotion request was being a xbox Live gold member active at the time. Now I am knowing that pressing the "download" option was crucial to confirm that. I would have downloaded it, it was there. I made a mistake.
May I ask the support staff to give me a second chance to download the game? It would be an exceptional service for a player. I ask this only because I had an active Live gold account at the time. Let me go to the last checkpoint, please.

 

Sorry but they won't be able to do this for you. As Smwutches has already stated you'll need to wait until the game either goes on sale or may be offered again in the future.

 

However, if you purchased the game when it was available and simply didn't download it due to the HDD error, you still own it and can download it any time from your purchase history.

They cannot do this because it changes for everyone which wouldn't be fair if they do it only for you

The terms and conditions do state you have to queue it before the end of the sale it's not rocket science

You don't have to download it immediately unless you ar wonky doing it Thêu the xbox ,360 to avoid the creditcard requirements

Honestly I don't understand how "changing for everyone" would be a reason to not give me the game that I already had the possibility to download.

So it would be fair if all the other players, whom for any reason were unable to donwload the game with gold, while they were gold members during that time, will receive their missed games, right?

Or it is wrong too, because we all "missed the sale"? Games with gold is not a sale, you know. It's a promotion, a reward, it's not a discount. I opened a thread but it got buried without answers:

I think that the purpose of Games with Gold is to reward Gold Live members, therefore to incentivate Silver members to subscribe Gold.

Following this thought, when a person passes to Gold, or when he renewes his Gold subscription, the purpose is fullfilled. At this point, I think that the reward should be "secured", it should be led to the Gold account, and eventually redeemed whenever
the person wants.

In a certain way this is already in act, but to enable this, it is required to click download by the end of the promotion's time. If by any reason you don't click it, it doesn't matter if you have Gold at the time, you won't receive nothing.

To me this is very counter-productive. So this is my questions: 1) Why the time's limitations is valid even to Gold members? They have already Gold, why put other unuseful requirement?

2) Why Gold members must click the download button (or whatever else) by the time limit? Does Microsoft gains something if I press download now (and if yes why not later), for a free game?

Finally, let's say the system secures the games whit gold to gold member' accounts, without any other action needed beside the subscription. I think that many players will subscribe even when they are not near their xboxes for a long time. There are many
reasons: trips, missions,illnesses, work. They will subscribe because they will know that they would have free games anyway. More income to Microsoft, more happiness to players.

Same time, obsolete system. Players that cannot push that download button will not subscribe because there will be no reason to do that at all. No money, no games, download button wins. P.s. English is not my first language, but I think that the core of
the message is understandable.

 

Yes, games with gold is an incentive, but it's just another sale. It's just like the deals of the week. There are perks to being a gold member, but that doesn't mean they can leave those sales running the entire time you're gold. If the games continued to
be free, it would defeat the purpose of having new games each month. Over time that would eventually cause pretty much every game to be free which would actually cause Microsoft and the developers to lose money over time. If they were to create a system like
that, it would only be beneficial for them to do something like, "guy gold and receive x amount of games for free at any time" but you would be limited to only those games.

There are also games that are made free that not everyone wants. So by actually making the "purchase" it gives you the option to either take the free game or not. There are multiple ways to make a purchase, so you don't have to be right at your console to
get the free games.

 

You also have just over two weeks to make that purchase. Plenty of time to get it via Xbox One, Xbox 360, or Xbox.com especially given that you don't have to download it immediately, just purchase it for free during that time.
