    What i want to know do i have to keep my gold up to date just to keep my games i downloaded from the Games for Gold program or is it the same as on 360.

    I believe I read somewhere that Games for Gold will start in June for the One. I'll see if I can find that.

    Are XBox One owners able to download the Twice a month free game? Every time I try to download Shoot Many Robots it says I have no valid payment options. I'm guessing because its a 360 game? Is there special place for XBox One owners?

    You need an active gold account to keep access to the free xbox one games for gold.

    Indeed, You will need a Gold Account to access The One's free games with gold content.

    The 360 games are free forever once downloaded.... You should post in the Wishlist/Feedback area to voice your opinion about the policy change. Why you have to pay is simple... more money. The change in policy however can be overturned if enough users
    speak up...

    what happend to the 2 free xbox gold games per month. do i no longer own them?

    When Xbox games with gold existed u get Xbox 360 games free and Xbox one games free. The Xbox one games u claim for free are only free with a gold subscription when it was gold. Now it's gamepass core. But when Xbox games with gold was a thing the Xbox 360 games u get for free are permanent. But Xbox one games are not. U have to keep ur gamepass core to have access to your free to play Xbox one games with gamepass core that u claimed with gold back then.

    game with gold are only free while subscribing, the xbox 360 games are yours to keep any xbox one games via games with gold are only accessible whilst having a gold sub simple. has been this way since the beginning of gold games on the xbox one.

    If it's an Xbox One game, you do need a gold subscription to continue playing. Games with Gold on Xbox One are only available while you have a gold subscription.
