Game will only work on one account.

im trying to play gta5 on my own account but it doesnt work only works on my brothers account. we just recently switched to a different xbox we got (not new) and for some reason only his account is able to play gta5 (downloaded off marketplace) and all it
says for me is cant launch gta 5. i dont know what to do. ive tried re-downloading it and that did nothing.

Minecraft extension packs only work on one account

Hi all,

I bought Minecraft including the explorers pack for our Xbox One X. We have three accounts (one for me and two for my kids). All three of us, as expected, can play Minecraft with their account on the Xbox. But the extensions, that are part of the Explorers
pack are only available in my account. If I want them also in my kids accounts, I have to buy them again, for each account. That is unacceptable. Am I missing something, or is this really by design?

XBLA titles - only one account works

I'm so sorry to hear that you're having an issue with this

I have a couple things that you two can do to try and resolve this.

1. Try and Redownload each one again on your account, and then try on his account as well afterwards. (After you do a license tranfer you 'HAVE to redownload the games/DLC again to update the local licenses. This way the content
   can be used by other profiles on your console and when you’re not connected to Xbox LIVE.

2. If there is an issue, have him go to Guide Button>Account Management>DL History>See if he can redownload from there
   
3. If the issue is not resolved, you might need a DRM (Manual License Transfer) by calling Customer Support in your region.
   

The Customer Support, will be able to assist you with that DRM (Manual License Transfer) If you explain everything to them, and explained all the troubleshooting steps that you two have taken.

If this is the console you are now both using, he would need to perform a licence transfer on the new console to download the console licence for the game; that would allow all profile to play the game, unrestricted.

ok yeah i sorta figured that thanks. but it says i cant do one till august is there any way i can do one?

 

You can only do them once every four months, so it sounds like you did one in April and would unfortunately need to wait until August.

 

Also, if your brothers account is the one that purchased GTAV (which it sounds like since his account can play) then it is your brothers account that must be signed in when doing the license transfer.

 

i had bought borderlands to xbox 360 and other things from marketplace, now i dont have that xbox console anymore, but im going to buy new 360. can i play them if i download my account and games that i had bought from marketplace, in offline with my new
360 ?

 

You will need to do a license transfer if you wish to play the games offline. If you don't transfer the licenses, then you will only be able to play online while signed in to the account that purchased the content.
