    Game will not update


    Afternoon,

    Just purchased a new game (never had this issue previously), and after it installed I opened it to as expected a requirement to update it, Xbox did its thing "Getting Ready"... then the error;

    "There was a problem with the update"

    "Grand Theft Auto V needs an update, but something went wrong. For help, visit xbox.com/xbo... ... "

    I have checked my network settings, multiplayer settings, its all good, I am logged into xbox Live, and its working, I went to the game and app store just to be sure, as stated this isn't my first game, the console has never done this before, I also turned
    my console on and off, and went to the link listed. No joy, help please Game will not update :(

    Oh wow, you are going to laugh your donkey off! It just randomly out of no where started working! BAHAHAHA. Once I said I had no faith... THE LORT PROVIIIDES!

    I can play my games fine as long as I'm off line but I soon as I hook to the internet it wants to update but it will not do anything

    Sorry to hear it. Can you try connecting via ethernet cable if you are not already? Also, try power cycling your modem/router by unplugging it for 10 seconds.

    Sorry to hear it TMG. However, as this is an older thread can you please create a new one detailing exactly what the problem is and the troubleshooting steps you've taken?

    This is probably because of your internet or you dont have enough space to update.
